The Villa Lugnano holiday complex consists of a large, traditional Umbrian stone farmhouse, lovingly restored and sympathetically converted into 5 separate dwellings ranging in accommodation from 2 to 6 people. There is a large swimming-pool with plenty of comfortable sun-loungers and umbrellas for our guests, and the opportunity to enjoy other sports and activities such as cycling, hiking, boules and target practise. Surrounded by extensive and beautifully maintained grounds, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing country holiday in Umbria - the ‘green heart of Italy’ - while being close enough to places of historical and cultural interest for all-day or half-day jaunts and outings. A drive of less than an hour through pretty verdant countryside or rolling hills will take you to famous tourist destinations such as Assisi, Perugia and Gubbio, while even closer at hand are some charming hill-top villages well worth a visit, like Montone, Monte S. Maria Tiberina, Monterchi and Citerna, to name but a few. Also less than an hour’s drive away is the spectacular Lake Trasimeno, where you can take a boat trip out to its islands, visit some pretty lakeside towns, practise watersports or just ‘chill out’ on the shore with a delicious locally made ice-cream. Lake Trasimeno is one of Italy’s largest lakes outside the Northern Italian Lake District – a fun spot for a family outing, or a wonderfully romantic one for couples! Villa Lugnano is managed by its friendly owners, Dante and Luciana, who supervised the restoration of the old farm buildings and have run the complex since its inception, and who will spare no effort in making your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
